The original Calibre Bossnut first hit the market in 2015. Described by the press as "a hugely important mountain bike" with it's quality spec and very competitive price point, the Bossnut proved that a new bike doesn't have to cost multiple thousands of pounds. Since then the Calibre brand has grown, they have increased the team, won multiple awards and have some big name athletes riding their products. Although Calibre falls under the Go Outdoors banner it may come as a surprise to most that Calibre was actually started by todays podcast guest Mike Sanderson and, is based right here in Sheffield.
Mike Sanderson is the Calibre brand manager and is responsible for breaking down the entry level barrier to mountain biking. He developed the entire Calibre brand single handedly in the early days and on todays episode we discuss why he decided that mountain biking needed the Bossnut, how the brand has grown, what goes in to speccing/developing a £1000 full suspension mountain bike, take a look at the new 2020 Calibre Bossnut plus much more...

An absolute smasher of a bike. Just got one. Had a Canyon before and this is much better! I love it. I really don’t think you can get better for the money. It’s really helped my mental health also as I have been out riding more as it’s become enjoyable and exciting again! Thanks Calibre, I’ll be upgrading to whatever you bring out next 🤘
